CLASS #571: It's Good to 'Know;' Better to 'Understand'

It is a good thing to 'know;' especially history and current events. However, it is better to understand those events. Many people believe knowing is understanding, but the two are not the same. One just recites the correct answer on a test and is then forgotten, while the other explains why things happen and is usually retained for a longer period of time. Knowing makes for knowledge, but understanding makes for wisdom. Let's discuss why this is not only true but important to those who wish to live a happier, more purpose-driven life.
